GRANDMA JEAN

Hi I am Jennifer Jean Pierro and welcome to Jennifer Jean Cookies. It all began when I was a little girl and I would go visit my Grandma Jean in the Bronx. Coming from an Italian American family there was always homemade pasta’s, sauce, meats, cheeses and of course homemade cakes and cookies. The favorite cookie being the traditional cinnamon coated brazil nut cookie shaped as a horn. They were so light and airy that they would just melt in your mouth. It was impossible to eat just one. They ranked up there as the number one cookie in the family.
Growing up around such amazing cooks and bakers I learned from the best and I developed the love and passion for both cooking and baking. My grandma Jean passed away at the age of 94, but many years before she shared the recipe with me. Not only do I share her name, but I now share one of her special cookies and one of my favorite childhood traditions with my friends, family and now you.
Tradition lives on in Jennifer Jean Cookies.
